Banker found dead

Itagar, Feb 8: The cashier of the Mebo Branch of Aruchal Pradesh Rural Bank in East Siang district was found dead inside the bank in a mysterious condition, police said.

The cashier, identified as Bomge Nyori, was found dead lying in a pool of blood inside the bank on Wednesday evening, Mebo police station OC B Pait said.

 Pait said Nyori was not responding to his wife’s phone calls, who later alerted the bank officials. His car was parked outside the bank.

“We entered the cashier’s room and found him dead with blood all round,” said Pait. Bank mager lo Nitan said the locker keys are yet to be recovered. He said until the locker is opened, nothing concrete can be said. The CCTV cameras were reported to have also been removed by the suspected attackers, the police said, adding that a case was registered and an investigation is on.

Meanwhile, Mebo MLA Lombo Tayeng, who is also the Advisor to Chief Minister Pema Khandu, while taking serious note of the incident, has directed the East Siang SP as well as the administration to apprehend the culprits at the earliest.
