DHUBRI, October 13: The Dhubri Bar Association along with the representatives of Bilasipara and Hatsingmari Bar Association, in an extraordiry general meeting held with NI Choudhary, president of Dhubri Bar Association, in the chair, expressed resentment over the manner and functioning of the Foreigners Tribuls recently established in Dhubri, Bilasipara and Hatsingimari .
The members of the Bar Associations have adopted four resolution - to curb the unusual system to the law and procedure where the presiding officer himself acted as government pleader as well as judge and to give reasoble time to submit written statement, the legacy data, voter list of 1966,1951,1971 should be considered as in evidence and if the certified copies of documents are not available then record of documents should be called for from authorities concerned , appointment of Additiol Government Pleader in all Foreigners Tribuls and the opposite party who are alleged as foreigner should be provided with the copies of allegation.
Aminul Islam, secretary Dhubri Bar Association, said that the copy of the resolution would be sent to the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of India, Chief Justice of Gauhati High Court and Chief Secretary to the Government of Assam and all political parties.
