Barca confirm Bravo's move to Man City

Barcelo, Aug 21: Spanish football champions FC Barcelo’s sporing director Roberto Ferndez has confirmed they are on the verge of selling goalkeeper Claudio Bravo to English club Manchester City. Shortly after Bravo helped Barcelo win 6-2 at home in La Liga over Real Betis here on Saturday, Ferndez posted a tweet that the club had “principally agreed” to the move. Manchester City is currently being coached by former Barcelo boss Pep Guardiola. “We need to sign a new goalkeeper and we are awaiting events this week. When Claudio leaves we hope to have a new goalkeeper,” he then confirmed on Catalan TV network TV3. Reports in Spain indicated that Ajax keeper Jasper Cilleson will be Bravo’s replacement and will battle it out with Ter Stegen to be first choice keeper. IANS
