BARD organizes refresher programme

GAURISAGAR, March 20: tiol Agricultural Bank for Rural Development (BARD) on Monday organized a day long refresher programme for NGO on SHG/JLG concept in association with NGO Krishak Nyas at the conference hall of Sivasagar District Tourist Information Office. The dignitaries who attended the programme were Lakheswar Mahanta, DDM, BARD, Bhaben Mohan, President, Sivasagar District NGO Forum and others.  In his speech, Lakheswar Mahanta briefly discussed  about formation of SHG’s, bank linkage, fincial magement and their role in economic development. He also urged upon the NGO activists to promote SHG’s so that they can achieve their goal. Mahanta also stressed  about the insurances launched by union government like  PMSBY, PMJJBY and APY.

 The other dignitaries  broadly discussed the key role of NGO’s to promote SHG’s by giving motivatiol training and other needful support for their sustaible development. A good number of NGO’s activists hailing from different part of the district participated and exchanged their views with the resource persons. The function was anchored by Rajib Dutta while Himadrijyoti Dutta welcomed the guests.
