Bargora Secondary School to celebrate silver jubilee

DOOMDOOMA, Nov 3: Bargora Secondary School, which is the only Assamese medium High School of Bargora region in the historic Sadiya town, previously known as Kundilgar,  was established in 1993. The institution, which caters to the needs of 25 villages inhabited by people speaking different languages and professing different religions, has become  the  educatiol centre of the vast region, besides being a place of harmony of a diverse population. In view of its ensuing silver jubilee celebration on November 4 and November 5, steps have been taken to construct the main gate, boundary wall and swahid bedi of the school. The programme will get underway on November 4 with iuguration of the main gate by MLA Balin Chetia. It will be followed by flag hoisting by Phatik Ch Neog, president, celebration committee.

Other programmes like smriti-tarpan, lighting of ceremonial lamps, art competition and extempore speech competition will take place as per programme. Dil Bahadur Chetri, former Principal, Sadiya HS School, will iugurate the stage. Additiol Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Manoj Kumar Baruah will iugurate the cultural programme on the first day. The souvenir published on the occasion will be released by  Bhuban Chandra Gogoi, president, Sadiya Sakha Sahitya Sabha.
