Barhoongka AC lift Trophy

KOKRAJHAR, Oct 11:Barhoongka Athletics Club, Kokrajhar defeated Veteran FC, Assam 7-0 to lift the 3rd Kamaleswar Brahma Memorial Football Trophy at Ramfalbil RN Brahma playground in Kokrajhar today.

For Barhoongka, Lamminthang Touthang netted his first goal in 15th minute, Prab Das scored two goals in 25th and 45th minutes. In the second half  Angjangpu Kabui scored in 50th minute, Nwukwu Michael in 70th minute while Lamminthang Touthang scored two more goals in 72th minute and 76th minutes.

BTC Eexecutive Member for Sports and Youth Welfare Doneswar Goyary while attending the prize distribution ceremony as chief gave away cash Rs 25,000 and trophy to winning team while BTC Executive Member Rajib Brahma gave away cash Rs 15,000 and trophy runners up team. Ashok Brahma of Barhoongka was adjusted best player and given cash Rs 2,000 and a trophy.

The tourment was organized by Ramfalbil Anchalik Sports Association and was sponsored by Maranjan Brahma, a reputed entrepreneur of Kokrajhar  in memory of his father late Kamaleswar Brahma.
