Baroda thrash Assam in Vijay Hazare

GUWAHATI, Mar 4: Assam lost to Baroda in a Vijay Hazare Trophy match by a huge margin of 92 runs in New Delhi today. Rode on three half century knocks from Pandya (72), Yusuf Pathan (71) and Irfan Pathan (50), Baroda today put 233-6 in their 50 overs. Pritam Das once again made a nice performance with the ball and finished 3-37 in his eight overs spell. Arup Das, Syed Mohammed and Amit Verma bagged one wicket each.

Assam struggled from the very beginning of their innings and lost wicket on regular interval. Both the openers–Riyan Parag (8) and Pallv Das (4) returned into the pavillon within 5.1 overs. They didn’t able to recover the damage even though Rishav Das tried his best to provide some fight with his bat. Rishav(44)- top scorer- Arun Karthick (23), Syed  Mohammed (20) and Amit Verma (13) were the only four batsmen in the team who scored double-figure runs today.
