Barpeta boy makes his way into NDA

MANGALDAI, June 13:  Following the footprint of the first best cadet in tiol Defense academy (NDA) from Assam and the recipient of the President’s Gold Medal, Masqor Alom of Barpeta district in Lower Assam has been selected for admission into the prestigious NDA this year.

Masqor Alom, son of retired Army personnel Samsul Alom and Anjuma Begum of village Halodhiya Pothar under Kalgachia Police station, is going to join the graduation course in army wing in NDA shortly. Masqor completed his education from Class I to Class X from Al Amin Academy – a private institution of Kalgachia and completed his higher secondary classes from Buds Academy at Sorbhog in Barpeta district. With the aim to join the army as an officer, to which he was highly interested on seeing the service rendered by his father in the army, Masqor Alom underwent a coaching course from a private coaching centre in Chandigarh and filly made his way to the NDA.

Talking to The Sentinel over phone, Masqor Alom said that his father was the source of his inspiration to join the army and to serve the motherland as a proud citizen of the country. He also took the rare achievement of the best cadet Captain Avish Chhetry as his ideal.
