Barpeta DC visits flood affected areas

BARPETA, June 13: Deputy Commissioner of Barpeta, Varli Deka  along with civil administration officials today visited various flood affected areas of the district including Phulguri, Kuriha, Suaguri , Marisa etc to take stock of the flood situations.  Around 192 villages in the district have been affected by flood and people in many villages have been taken to safer places. The Deputy Commissioner has directed the officials to ensure that people are safe.
