Barpeta win by virtue of first innings

GUWAHATI, Jan 25: Barpeta won by virtue of the first innings lead against Dhubri in the JK Barooah Inter District Cricket tourment match which ended at Barpeta today. In reply to Dhubri’s first innings total 110, Barpeta scored 273 losing all wickets. Gaurav Talukdar (92, 4X15, 6X2) was the top scorer. Bikiran Das 79 (4x14, 6x2) and Sanjib Pathak 69 (4x14) also played two good knocks for the home team. Abhish Kumar Mahato displayed a good show with ball and picked up 5-50. Dhubri were 64-5 in their second innings when match came to an end.
