Basav Ranjan Dahal gets 10th position

Biswath Chariali, May 30: Basav Ranjan Dahal, a student of Ramanujan Junior College, gaon, brought glory to this district headquarter town in Biswath district on Tuesday by securing 10th position in the HS fil exam. He maged to secure a total of 472 marks (94.4 per cent), including  96 in English, 98 in General Mathematics, 95 in Chemistry, 93 in Physics and 90 in Alt English. He is the son of Mamata Dahal, a lecturer of Chatiya College and Ranjan Dahal, Subject Teacher, Harisinga Higher Secondary School and a resident of Boubazar, here. Talking to media persons after getting the result, Basav said that he had studied for 5 to 6 hours daily and wanted to pursue higher studies in mathematics. He also has interest in quizzing and has won a good number of prizes in it. Basav’s success was hailed by Biswath DC Asitaksha Chakravarty, AASU, AJYCP, AAGSU and others.
