Bathou delegation from Kokrajhar visits religious shrines in New Delhi and Punjab to study temple management

Kokrajhar: A 25-member team of Bathou Traditional and Cultural Centre, Baganshali, Kokrajhar led by Executive Member of BTC, Lwmsrao Daimary visited some religious shrines in New Delhi and Punjab to study the management and preservation of its relics as well as its tradition.

The delegation, which started its journey from May 27, mainly laid stress on temple management technique. The delegation visited the Golden Temple at Amritsar in Punjab and Akshardham Temple in New Delhi and interacted with the management trusts. The team also interacted with the Senior Information Officer and other officers of the Punjab Government.

The study team, led by BTC EM Lwmsrao Daimary, comprised of Joint Secretary, Dinesh Boro, PRO, Sameswar Basumatary and convener of Bathou Traditional and Cultural Centre, Kokrajhar, Mohim Ch Basumatary along with 25 members. The team will continue its visit to religious sites till May 31. This was informed by the PRO of BTC, Sameswar Basumatary.

Meanwhile, the construction of Bathou Thanshali at Kokrajhar at a cost of Rs 1 crore is going on in full swing and it is likely to be one of the centres of attraction in Kokrajhar.
