Batla House First Look: John Abraham Film to Release on Next Independence Day

John Abraham has shared his first look from Batla House, a film based on the controversial Batla House encounter.

For the movie Batla House, Bollywood handsome hunk John Abraham shared the first look for the film. The actor is all set to play a policeman in the film. The 45-year-old took to social media to share the poster in which he was seen wearing the police uniform, but his face is not noticeable. The name on his badge reads ‘Sanjay Kumar’.

It may be mentioned that the picture is placed over another, typically so that both are still evident with different clippings like ‘Controversial Cop’, ‘Convict Dilshad Ahmed Gets Life Term’, among others.

The film is made on the happening of Batla House encounter, the incident that took place on September 19, 2008, against Indian Mujahideen (IM) terrorists in Batla House locality in Jamia Nagar, Delhi. The incident is officially known as Operation Batla House.

The movie will be helmed by Nikhil Advani; producer of Airlift film and is written by Ritesh Shah of Pink fame. Prior to this, Nikkhil previously directed John in Salaam-E-Ishq. Batla

The film is slated to release on August 15 next year, while it will clash with Rajkummar Rao’s Made in China and Ranbir Kapoor’s and Alia Bhatt’s Brahmastra.
