Bayern's Ribery, Betia to miss three games

Munich, Dec 12: Bayern Munich’s Franck Ribery and Medhi Betia will be out of action until the end of the year, the German giants confirmed on the club’s homepage.

Just after returning from an injury spells, Ribery and Betia sustained new injuries during the 2-0 Champions League victory over Dimo Zagreb on Wednesday.

Bayern’s club doctor Volker Braun diagnosed both players with muscle injuries. Hence, Ribery as well as Betia will be sideline for the remaining three games before the winter break. “We have again lost two important players,” Bayern coach Josep Guardiola said on Friday.

Frenchman Franck Ribery returned just on Saturday from a nine-month injury break meanwhile Morocco intertiol Medhi Betia suffered his eighth muscle injury since his arrival from Italian side A.S.
