BAYM burns effigies of Ajmal, Konwar in Demow

DEMOW, January 25: The activists of Brihattar Asomiya Yuba Manch (BAYM), Demow Town Committee, burnt the effigies of AIUDF chief Badaruddin Ajmal and Devanda Konwar, former Congress leader of Thowra constituency and former Bihar and Tripura Governor on Monday in Demow Chariali at NH-37 Road in protest against AIUDF chief Badaruddin Ajmal’s alleged controversial statement and Devanda Konwar’s alleged comment against the Assamese language. Activists of Brihattar Asomiya Yuba  Manch (BAYM), Demow Town Committee, shouted various slogans against Ajmal and Konwar. Under the leadership of Jadumoni Kalita, president, Bhadraj Buragohain, working president, and Anshuman Barua, secretary of Brihattar Asomiya Yuba Manch (BAYM), Demow Town Committee, the protest was carried out.
