BAYM burns effigy

DEMOW, March 30: The Brihattar Asomiya Yuba Mancha (BAYM), Demow Town Committee took out a protest programme in Demow Chariali on Friday and burnt the effigy of the person allegedly involved in the ghastly rape and murder of a minor in Batadrava in gaon district.

They shouted various slogans against the State government and demanded proper punishment for the accused. Under the leadership of Jadumoni Kalita, President of Brihattar Asomiya Yuba Mancha, Demow Town Committee and Jadab Gogoi, President of Brihattar Asomiya Yuba Mancha, Sivasagar District Committee, the protest was carried out.
