BAYM condemns Mamata Banerjee's statement

LAKHIMPUR, Jan 4: Against the controversial statement made by West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on NRC, which is the result of supreme sacrifice made by 855 martyrs in the anti-foreigners movement in Assam, strong reaction prevailed in Lakhimpur on Thursday. The Lakhimpur district body of Brihattar Asomiya Yuva Mancha (BAYM) vehemently condemned her statement and burnt her effigy at Malpani Chariali of North Lakhimpur town and said that she made this extremely commul and anti-tiol statement with a view to rehabilitate the illegal migrants.  More than 30 activists of the organization participated in the protest and opined that her instigating statement would not be tolerated at any cost and warned her not to make such comments regarding NRC in future.
