BAYM demands action to stop child labour

DEMOW, August 2: Under the leadership of Jadumoni Kalita, president and Anshuman Barua, secretary of Brihattar Asomiya Yuba Mancha (BAYM), Demow Town Committee, a memorandum was submitted to Demow Circle Officer where they alleged that in various business establishments of Demow, children below 14 years of age were working as labourers. Regarding this, the Brihattar Asomiya Yuba Mancha (BAYM), Demow Town Committee had earlier demanded the authority concerned to take steps to stop child labour.  The BAYM leaders warned that if no action was taken the stop children below 14 years of age from being employed in business establishments, the organization would launch a democratic movement.
