BAYM expresses concern over artificial flood

DEMOW, Feb 13: The Brihattar Asomiya Yuba Mancha (BAYM), Demow Regiol Committee had decided to stage a road blockade for two hours in NH-37 road on February 15 in protest against the encroachment of Demow pond.  After the declaration of the road blockade, the Additiol Deputy Commissioner of Sivasagar as well as Demow Circle Officer (I/C) had organized a meeting regarding this matter on Monday at Demow Circle Office, where the Myadi patta holders, BAYM leaders and police officials along with senior citizens of Demow were present. A decision was taken to solve the problem of artificial flood in Housing Colony, Jyoti gar and Lachit gar areas of Demow within March 15. It was also decided that a map of Demow pond will be made so that the water cannot be blocked.
