Beauty pageant winner Kiran Boro, athlete Kunja Lata Boro felicitated

MANGALDAI, Oct 23: The villagers of Niz Mogalbecha near Mangaldai town on Sunday offered a hearty felicitation to two worthy daughters of the village who came out with flying colours in their respective fields in the intertiol are. Fixing decorated ba plants on the main thoroughfare in the traditiol way, the enthusiastic villagers welcomed both the daughters with the rhythm of drums and flutes and dancing girls. The worthy daughters are Kiran Boro and Kunja Lata Boro.

Kiran Boro, who was born and spent her childhood in Niz Mogalbecha village, has been crowned as Mrs. Universe Exquisite 2017.  Earlier, she was also crowned Mrs. India Home Makers Classic 2017 and also represented India as West Asia Earth in the Mrs. Earth Pageant 2017 in Las Vegas. She has also been nomited as India Ambassador of Elite Global Earth of Las Vegas to work against bullying of women and prevention of suicide. 

On the other hand, Kunja Lata Boro bagged bronze medal in the recently concluded Asian Masters Athletics Meet held in Chi. In the well-attended felicitation function organized at Niz Mogalbecha ME School field, various organizations, including the local unit of ABSU, offered hearty felicitation to Kiran Boro and Kunja Lata Boro. Presiding over the function, chairman of Village Council Development Committee (VCDC) under BTC, Rupam Jit Boro described both the worthy daughters as the pride of the entire State. Ex-serviceman Sanchay Boro rrated the underdeveloped condition of Niz Mogalbecha village and congratulated both. Media person Mayukh Goswami and several other prominent citizens of the locality attended the function.
