Beekshan to screen films on citizenship and foreigners: Silchar

Silchar: Beekshan Cine Commune, Silchar, is all set to screen two important and landmarks films which are based on the very vital issue of citizenship and foreigners in the state of Assam followed by a group interaction on November, 18, 2018 i.e. on Sunday at 5 pm at Silchar Sangeet Vidyalaya, Park Road.

The two films are Bideshi and What the Fields Remember. Bideshi has been directed by Saumitra Adhikari. This 15-minute short film is based on the life of a declared foreigner in Assam.

What the Fields Remember is a 52-minute documentary on Nellie Massacre and has been directed by Subasri Krishnan. The documentary film What the Fields Remember revisits the massacre three decades later.
