Begi appointed new Aruchal CIC

ITAGAR, July 8:  Aruchal Pradesh Governor J P Rajkhowa has appointed former Higher and Technical Director Dr Joram Begi as the Chief Information Commissioner (CIC) of Aruchal Pradesh State Information Commission (APSIC).

The APSIC has been running without CIC after YD Thongchi’s official tenure ended in 2015, an official release said here today.

Dr Begi, who was appointed yesterday, was born on 21 October 1956 at Joram Village under Yachuli circle of Lower Subansiri district. He served as Director Higher and Technical Education from 2002 to 2014.

He also served North East Regiol Institute of Science and Technology (NERIST) as Director 2008-2010. Apart from it, Dr Begi was also the registrar of RGU from 1991 to 1996, Principal of Dera tung Government College from 1979 to 1982.

He started his illustrious service career as senior lecturer in DNGC from 1979 to 1999.

Apart from government service, Dr Begi was proactive in social service. He was founder President of Nyishi Elite Society (NES) and was the longest servicing president.

Begi was also the advisory board member in Central Advisory Board of Education, tiol Council of Teacher Education.   The swearing in ceremony is likely to be held by this week, the release added.
