Begi sworn in as Aruchal's Chief Information Commissioner

Itagar, July 10: Educationist Joram Begi was on Sunday sworn in as the Chief Information Commissioner of Aruchal Pradesh by Tripura Governor Tathagata Roy, who is also the acting Governor of Aruchal Pradesh. Begi, a former Director of Higher and Technical Education in Aruchal Pradesh, comes in place of Y.D. Thongchi, whose tenure ended in 2015. Begi, a former Director of North East Regiol Institute of Science and Technology, is a member in the Central Advisory Board of Education and the tiol Council of Teacher Education. Aruchal Assembly Speaker Wangki Lowang, Chief Minister Kalikho Pul, state ministers and legislators, former Chief Minister Gegong Apang attended the function. (IANS)
