Benfica sign Argentine winger

Lisbon, July 6: Benfica announced on Wednesday the signing of Argentine winger Oscar Benitez from Club Atletico Lanus of Argenti for the next five football seasons.

The Portuguese club, according to its official statement, did not reveal the value of the deal, but confirmed that the player successfully passed medical tests and has already joined in training with the rest of the squad, reports Efe.

The Portuguese press speculated for weeks the signing of Benitez, 23, to be loaned to Boca Juniors, which has not yet been ruled out. (IANS)
