Best Horticulture State Fame to Nagaland

Nagaland wins the global award of Best Horticulture State in the 11th Global Leadership Awards and this certainly is a matter of pride and joy for the northeastern state.

Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio takes to Twitter to share his joy and posted on Sunday: “The 11th Global Leadership Awards has been declared & #Nagaland will be awarded the Best Horticulture State.”

Rio further tweeted, “Agriculture Leadership Awards recognises the leadership roles played by individuals & institutions for positively impacting the lives of farmers & rural masses.”

Other than this, the International Leadership Award has been conferred on Prof. Rudy Rabbinge, Special Envoy — Food Security, Government of Netherlands, the Africa Leadership Award has been conferred on Anthony Seam K Morrison. President CEO, Chamber of Agribusiness, Ghana. On the other hand, the Research Leadership Award has been conferred on National Research Development Corporation while the Academic Leadership Award has been conferred on Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad, the Livelihood Leadership Award has been conferred on Shailendra Chaudhary, MD, NERCORMP, Shillong.

There are a total of 20 global awards that have been conferred on various achievers across the world.

Along with Nagaland, Jharkhand wins the Best Fisheries State; Bihar wins the Best Animal Husbandry State; Gujarat secures the Best Agriculture State award and the State Horticulture Mission, Government of Haryana is conferred the Program Leadership Award.
