Bhoomi puja of Tinsukia Cancer Care Centre

TINSUKIA, June 18: Bhoomi puja of Tinsukia Cancer Care Centre, a level-2 type and a joint initiative of Government of Assam and Tata Trust, was performed at the new ITI building Sukhanpukhuri about 10 km from Tinsukia town in the presence of a large gathering on Monday. Sanjay Kishan, MLA of Tinsukia, performed the puja while Tinsukia Deputy Commissioner Oinam Sarankumar Singh and other officials along with MLAs joined the ceremonial programme. Kashmiri Kakwani represented the Tata Trust Cancer Team.

The actual site of the centre is few hundred metres away from the ITI complex and will be adjacent to the proposed Tinsukia Medical College covering an area of 700 bighas.
