Bhoomi pujan for installation of life size statue of Dr BR Ambedkar held in Sivasagar

SIVASAGAR: Bhoomi pujan for installation of the life-size statue of Bharat Ratna Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar by ONGC at the DC office premises, Sivasagar, was performed by Deputy Commissioner of Sivasagar, Pallav Gopal Jha and Executive Director, ONGC, Assam Asset, SD Maske. The statue will be installed by ONGC as a tribute to Babasaheb, the chief architect of the Indian Constitution and the great visionary leader who dedicated his life for the uplift of the downtrodden and underprivileged.

Speaking on the occasion, ED-Asset Manager, Assam Asset, SD Maske paid rich tribute to the chief architect of the Constitution of India and highlighted the philosophy of Dr. Ambedkar. Maske further added that ONGC had always been a front runner in promoting Babasaheb Ambedkar’s vision and mission through various social welfare initiatives for the development of the society. Pallav Gopal Jha, paying rich tribute to Babasaheb, profusely thanked ONGC for the noble initiative and said that installation of the statue would go a long way in disseminating the vision of Babasaheb for development of the society.

The statue, which will be installed, is being sculpted by famous sculptor Padmashree Ram Sutar. The DC and ED-Asset Manager, ONGC, Assam Asset, also paid floral tribute to Sudhakantha Dr. Bhupen Hazarika.
