Bhubaneswar Kalita Appointed as Asian Games 2018 Observer

GUWAHATI: The Indian Olympic Association has appointed Bhubaneswar Kalita, the Vice President of an organization, as the observer for the Jakarta Asian Games. Kalita will travel to Jakarta tomorrow and will stay with the Indian squad until the closing ceremony. Meanwhile Assam Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) today congratulated Hima Das for her medal winning performance in Asian Games. In a release, the president of the APCC Ripun Bora expressed hope that the athlete will bring more laurels for the country in the coming days. Kalita too congratulated Hima Das for winning silver in 400mts.
