Bicycles distributed to girl students

DIGBOI, April 25: Rameshwar Dhanowar, the MLA of Digboi, distributed 25 bicycles to the girl students of Samdung High School during a function organized in the school.

The beneficiaries were given away the bicycles under the scheme of the Government of Assam meant for the socio- economic and educatiol development of the people belonging to the tea gardens.

Addressing the students, Dhanowar urged the students to make the best use of the bicycles. He also lamented the fact that tea tribe community people were not coming forward to avail benefits and scholarships made available to them under various government schemes.

He also urged the people to take part in the NRC update process.
