Bid to smuggle stolen Bolero foiled

Bokajan, March 7: The Khatkhati Police thwarted a bid to smuggle a stolen Mahindra Bolero in a regular check post over NH 39 early Monday morning. As reported, the police personnel attached to the post intercepted the vehicle heading towards Dimapur in galand. On verifying the document, the registration number was found fake and on further investigation, it was found that the vehicle was lifted from the Motghoria area of Guwahati. The driver, identified as Jadav Saikia, was arrested in connection. The owner of the stolen vehicle is said to be one Hara Mohan Das and the actual registration number of the vehicle is AS 01AA 5233.
