Biennial convention of Dibrugarh Town Committee of AJYCP held

Dibrugarh, February 1:  The biennial convention of  Dibrugarh Town Committee of Asom Jatiyatabadi Yuba-Chatra Parishad (AJYCP),  with the attendance of officials of six branch committees,  was held at Sahityarathi Lakshmith Bezbaruah Hall on Sunday.

The meeting which was held for the occasion was attended by central committee publicity secretary Kon Gogoi as a chief speaker and executive member, Deep Dutta; and adviser of Dibrugarh District Committee, Homonboi Borah. The district committee president, Ranjit Das, as an iugurator was present at the representative meeting while district joint secretary Rajiv Gogoi attended the same as an observer.

At the meeting, the convention flag was hoisted by Suman Debth  while smriti tarpan  was done by Pabitra Dutta. As per the organization’s constitutiol rules, the general secretary’s report and fincial statements of the last two years was read out by the general secretary of the town committee, Pabitra Dutta. Moreover, the previous committee was the dissolved and the decision for formation of new committee was taken at the meeting.

Later, a 25-member new executive committee of the Dibrugarh Town Committee, AJYCP was formed for 2015-16, with   Suman Debth,   Pabitra Dutta, as president and general secretary respectively. The other members of the committee are  vice- presidents  Khanindra Das and Rupam Das, joint secretaries  Shujit Chakraborty and Kaustabhmoni Das and  publicity  secretaries Bipin Das, Rafiq Ali and Shivani Sutradhar.

At the concluding session of the meeting, the executive member of the central committee, Deep Dutta, administered the oath to all new members of the Dibrugarh Town Committee.
