Big win place Aizwal on top

GUWAHATI, April 24: Aizwal FC put one step forward to earn a berth in the I League Soccer tourment thrashing Hindustan FC by 5-0 at Dergaon today. The match was completely one sided affair as Aizwal FC domited from the very beginning and pushed the opponent in the back foot. Alfred scored hat-trick while remaining two goals was added by Michael. With this win Aizwal FC collected 22 points from their 9 outings and are placed on the top of the table.

At Bokakhat, Mohammedan Sporting won their match against Kenkre but they had to fight hard to beat the opponent. Kolkata outfit filly overcame the challenge of Kenkre by 4-3.

Meanwhile the other two matches, held at Golaghat, -Loanstar Kashmir defeated United SC by 3-2 and PIFA hold Chanmari FC 1-1. The draw helped Chanmari FC to stay in the second spot in the points table collecting 18 points from 9 games.
