Bike lifters’ gang busted

GUWAHATI, July 19: The Latasil police arrested two motor cycle lifters identified as Thomash Brahma (19) and Tula Ram Narjary (19) in connection with the Latasil PS case no123/18 u/s 379 IPC on Wednesday. Following their confession, the police also recovered a stolen motor cycle bearing registration no AS01DR – 1427 from their possession. Meanwhile, both the accused have been taken under 3-day police custody. On the other hand, the Dispur police also arrested two others identified as Rijul Ali alias Faruk Ali of Nalbari and Md Rafikul Ali of Tihu from the Six Mile area on Wednesday night allegedly for lifting motor bikes. In this connection, a case no 840/18 u/s 379 IPC has been registered.
