Bikram shines in City’s win

GUWAHATI, Feb 7: City Cricket club won the iugural tie of the 13th Jugal Kishore Newatia Invitatiol cricket tourment defeating Gauhati Town club by 7 wickets at the Nehru stadium here today. Gauhati Town club, elected to bat, just maged to score 94 runs before bowled out. Bikram Chetry bowled a magic spell in the game and picked up 4 wickets for just 9 runs. He got good support from Chandra Deep Das (3–15). City Cricket club didn’t face too much problem to chase the total and they reached the target in 16.3 overs losing three wickets. Bud Cricket club, the host of the meet, today felicitated Abdul Matin, the former secretary of the Assam Cricket Association during the iugural function.
