Binod Kr Deka assumes office as Chirang DC

KOKRAJHAR, Sept 2: Former BTC Secretary Binod Kr Deka has joined as the Deputy Commissioner of Chirang district today.

On his first day of assuming charge as Deputy Commissioner, he held an introductory co-ordition meeting with all departmental heads and staff of his office here in presence of the outgoing DC Rupak Kr. Mazumder in the conference hall of the DC’s office.

Expressing his commitment for the welfare and development of the district, the new DC Deka sought help and cooperation of all the officers and staff and called for a team work for the betterment of the district. He also appealed to all to be punctual, honest and sincere while rendering their services.

Taking part in the meeting, SP Sankar Brata Raimedhi urged for a coordited effort from all government machineries to maintain peace and harmony in the district.

In his farewell speech, outgoing DC Mazumder highlighted the works done by him during his period and thanked the officers and staff for their cooperation and helping hands that extended throughout his service period.
