Birth anniversary of Janeta Ramesh Chandra Baruah observed

Dibrugarh, Jan 24: On the occasion of the 104th birth anniversary of Janeta Ramesh Chandra Baruah, an on-the-spot art competition for school students was recently organized at Dibrugarh Government Higher Secondary and Multipurpose Girls’ School. Almost 280 participants from various schools  took part in the painting competition which was organized under the aegis of Janeta Ramesh Chandra Baruah Smriti Raksha Samiti. The art competition was held under four groups and on various topics. The competition was iugurated by former minister Indeswar Khaund , who lit the traditiol lamp and paid  floral tributes to Ramesh Chandra Baruah. Attending the event, Sarat Chandra Borkakoty, in presence of family members and admirers of Janeta Ramesh Chandra Baruah, gave a brief description on the life and works of the former Speaker.
