BJP activists burn effigies of Sonia Gandhi, Tarun Gogoi

HOJAI, May 6: BJP Hojai district committee organised a protest rally and then burnt the effigy of Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi and Congress president Sonia Gandhi at Hojai in gaon district on Wednesday.

The protest took place at the turning point of Panchali of tun Bazar Market in Hojai. BJP activists burnt the effigy of Sonia Gandhi and Tarun Gogoi in protest against the Congress’ stand on the amended bill regarding ratification of Land Boundary Agreement with Bangladesh.

The BJP government in the Centre had taken a cabinet decision to exclude Assam from the deal as promised during the Lok Sabha election campaign but the Congress party, and especially Tarun Gogoi, was in favour of including Assam.
