BJP candidates submit nomition

KALAIGAON, March 24: On Tuesday, two candidates of Bharatiya Jata Party (BJP) submitted their nomition papers for the upcoming BTC polls at Udalguri headquarter and Bhergaon Sadar subdivision. Existing MCLA Kartik Ch. Baro from No. 36 Harishinga Territorial Constituency submitted his nomition paper to the Deputy Commissioner of Udalguri while BJP leader Niranjan Shing from No. 35 Mudoibari Territorial Constituency submitted his nomition paper to the SDO (C) of Bhergaon Subdivision. Both candidates are under Kalaigaon LAC. Kartik Ch. Baro was a senior leader of Bodoland People’s Front, but he quit party because the BPF high command did not nomite him as a candidate for the BTC polls. So he joined the BJP and was nomited as a BJP candidate. Meanwhile, Bishop Basumatary, a DIPRO official of Udalguri said that the Udalguri administration had made all preparations for smooth conduct of election in constituencies like Harishinga, Dhansiri, Bhairabkunda, Pasnwi Serfang and Rowta.
