BJP forms Jorhat Municipal Board

JORHAT, April 1: The newly elected members of the Bharatiya Jata Party (BJP) which swept 12 out of the 19 seats in the recently concluded civic polls of the Jorhat Municipal Board, on Wednesday formed the next board by selecting Aru Dutta as the chairman and Anup Ghosh Dastidaar as the vice-chairman. The decision was taken in a formal but brief meeting held at the DC’s Conference Hall in presence of  Deputy Commissioner Vasant Solanki Vishal. Earlier the DC administered the oath of office to all the elected ward members of both the BJP and the Congress.
