BJP has cheated the indigenous people of Assam: Gaurav Gogoi

From a Correspondent

GAON (HAIBORGAON), Nov 29:  “BJP has cheated the indigenous people of the State. Before State assembly election, they rooted for jati-mati-bheti but soon after the mandate, they have forgotten all these. Rather they are going against the aspirations of the indigenous people,” said MP Gaurov Gogoi on Wednesday in gaon.

MP Gogoi attended a function organized by district unit of NSUI at gaon Swahid Bhavan in gaon. In an interaction with the local media persons here, Gogoi, while referring to the eviction drive launched at Amsang area in Guwahati by the State Government, stated that before going to evict all the indigenous people from Amsang areas, the BJP-led State Government should think about their rehabilitation as the indigenous people had voted the BJP to power.

Gogoi said that the BJP government would get a befitting reply from the people in the next election. Referring a recent remark of a powerful cabinet minister, MP Gogoi said that his sharp words had hurt various people of the State. “According to Hinduism, we all have committed sins and hence for those sins we took birth in the world so that by doing good deeds we can make ourselves free,” he said.
