From a Correspondent

GAON, July 26: Whether Mission-84 of the State BJP in the coming Assembly Election, 2016 will be fulfilled or not remains unclear, as was evident from the remark of State BJP observer Dr Mahendra Sing.

Dr Sing on Sunday, when asked by jourlists in gaon whether the State BJP would fulfil the Mission 84 in the Assembly election in 2016, tactfully avoided the question and merely said that there was complete public support for BJP in Assam and the party would definitely perform well in the Assembly election in 2016. Dr Sing took part in a party meeting held at gaon District Library Auditorium as a part of the party’s Mahasamparka Abhiyan to strengthen the party in all aspects.

Expressing his concern over the latest row of Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma’s involvement in the GMDA’s water project scam, Dr. Sing further said that BJP always wanted a scandal-free and fair governce and administration in the entire country and those who were directly or indirectly involved in any kind of scam or irregularities would be punished.

The meeting was organized to strengthen the party in all levels of almost six districts like gaon, Morigaon, Kaliabor, Hojai, Karbi Anglong and Golaghat. There were around 300 BJP workers and representatives who took part in the party meeting. The day-long meeting was iugurated by Dr Sing and anchored by State organizing secretary Phanindra Sarma. MP Rajen Gohain, State vice-president Harekrish Bharali, State general secretary Bijoy Gupta, Ramakrish Ghosh, Santanu Bharali, Amio Bora and other dignitaries were present in the meeting.
