Agartala, May 10:  The BJP-IPFT alliance government of Tripura has constituted a coordination committee in order to resolve differences between both the parties.

The committee was formed during a meeting and was presided over by Chief Minister Biplab Deb, who is also the BJP State president.  The meeting was attended by leaders of both the parties.

The coordination committee headed by Deputy Chief Minister Jishnu Debbarma comprises five members.

The other members include two general secretaries of the BJP Pratima Bhaumik and Rajib Bhattacharjee and Revenue Minister Narendra Chandra Debbarma and Forest Minister Maber Kumar Jamatia of the IPFT.

The committee was constituted in the wake of series of incidents where workers of both parties were involved in a clash, in which several people including a BJP MLA Burbu Mohon Tripura suffered injuries.

General Secretary of the BJP Pratima Bhaumik, in a press conference, said the committee would take step in case of any misunderstanding between the two parties at any level.

Meanwhile, both the parties on Thursday staged a demonstration in front of all the Zonal offices of the Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council, which is still controlled by the CPI (M).

They alleged that the State government had provided large amount of money but the TTAADC authority was not giving any work to the people to create an artificial crisis to disgrace the State government.
