BJP irked over poor BNSL services

Itagar, March 18: The BJP in Aruchal Pradesh today expressed concern over the protracted mobile network issues of the BSNL across the state despite introduction of mobile service during 2004 which was iugurated by the then deputy Prime Minister L K Advani. “Since 2004 the mobile network problem in the state exists and there is no BSNL network practically at the remote districts bordering Indo-Chi, Indo-Myanmar and Indo-Bhutan besides other districts”, party spokesman Techi Necha said in a statement. “The BSNL mobile consumers across the state are repeatedly demanding the BSNL authority as well as state government to provide full proof mobile service to the consumers but both the authorities are maintaining silence,” he said. “The recent high ranked BSNL official’s whirlwind tour to eight districts of the state has exposed weakness of the state government in providing telecom connectivity to the people over these long years and the Congress government is maintaining a callous and lackluster attitude in extending cooperation to the BSNL authority in extension and improvement of network,” he added. The party maintained that it would not remain a mere spectator and further called upon the state government to expedite time bound improvement and extension of BSNL network across the state and to provide electricity support to the BSNL authority. “The state is utterly neglecting in providing safety and security in terms of BSNL’s equipment like optical fiber cables which are loosely lying all around and illegal digging of the cable lines across the state and there is not a single authority to punish the offenders,” Necha added.
