From a Correspondent

GAON, February 1: “BJP tiol president Amit Shah will come to gaon on February 10 and on that day he will address a booth committee meet which will be held at gaon Dowson Higher Secondary School field,” said MP Rajen Gohain while addressing a press conference held at his residence in gaon.

He said that at that meet, members of 3,000 booth committees of the districts like gaon, Morigaon, Kaliabar, Hojai and Sonitpur will be present and the party president Shah will encourage the grassroots workers for better result in the upcoming assembly elections.  MP Gohain said that the people of the State were showing their support for the BJP and the central leadership did not want to leave any stone unturned to ensure that the BJP forms the government in Assam this time.

On the coalition with BPF, he added that it was an appropriate decision of the party high command and the process of coalition between BJP and AGP would be another effective step of the party high command. Referring to the seat understanding in gaon district, Gohain said  that if the coalition of BJP with AGP materializes then BJP would leave the assembly seats like Barhampur, Kaliabar, Rupahihat and Yamumukh for AGP and the seats like gaon, Batadraba, Raha, Hojai and Lumding would be keep for BJP as in all those constituencies BJP was in a strong position compared to other parties.

Gohain slammed the latest remark of MP RP Sarma about the coalition between BJP and BPF and said that he should not pass comments against the party’s decision. “We all should follow the decision of the party and should not neglect any party in the State,” Gohain added.
