BJP-ruled Margherita Town Committee slammed for shoddy performance

MARGHERITA, March 30: Assam Bihari garik Bikash Manch, Margherita president Dr Om Prakash Sahu has slammed the BJP-ruled Margherita Town Committee chairperson and ward commissioners for not being able to keep Margherita town clean as assured before the Margherita Town Committee election.

 Dr Om Prakash Sahu said that And Sharma, Commissioner of Ward no. 5 of Margherita Town Committee, had constructed a public toilet one year ago at Margherita Bazaar but now that toilet was in a dilapidated condition as it had not been cleaned and foul smell from the toilet made it difficult for the shopkeepers in Margherita Bazaar to do their business.

 Dr Om Prakash Sahu said that the BJP-ruled Margherita Town Committee had promised to the residents of Margherita town that BJP would perform better than the Congress-ruled Margherita Town Committee earlier. But even after two years of formation of the BJP-ruled Margherita Town Committee, their performance was worse than the previous Congress-ruled Margherita Town Committee. 

Three women who came from Nepal to Margherita to visit there family members said that the public toilet of Margherita Town Committee was in a poor shape and that the Chairperson and  Ward Commissioners of Margherita Town Committee should visit Nepal and see the public toilet there. Dr Om Prakash Sahu said that it was the matter of shame for the people of Margherita. He urged the BJP-ruled Margherita Town Committee to get its act together and take concrete measures to keep the town clean and hygienic.
