BJP Wins Majority Seats In Thowra constituency

DEMOW: The results of the first phase of panchayat poll which was held on December 5 in Thowra constituency, was declared on Wednesday and counting continued till night. There are 20 gaon panchayats and 4 zila parishads in Thowra constituency. Among 20 gaon panchayats, the BJP won in 18 gaon panchayats and the Congress in two gaon panchayats. Total 18 BJP candidates and two Congress candidates were elected as presidents of gaon panchayats. Total 19 BJP candidates and only one Congress candidate were elected as members of anchalik panchayats. Among 4 zila parishads, the BJP won in all 4 zila parishads in Thowra constituency.
