BJP Yuva Morcha members burn effigy of CM Mamata Banerjee over alleged attack by TMC workers on Himanta Biswa Sarma's convoy

Guwahati: The BJP Yuva Morcha Guwahati city committee on Wednesday burnt the effigy of West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee over brutal attack on NEDA Convener's Himanta Biswa Sarma and BJP Bengal state president Dilip Ghosh allegedly by workers of Trinamool Congress in West Bengal on Tuesday evening.

The protestors also shouted slogans against CM Mamata Banerjee and demanded an investigation into the case.

It is to be noted that Himanta Biswa Sarma and West Bengal BJP president Dilip Ghosh’s convoy was allegedly attacked by the Trinamool Congress at Khejuri area under Khanti Lok Sabha constituency in West Bengal which left some BJP workers injured as well.

Following the incident, Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal had immediately demanded a probe into the matter and exemplary punishment to the people involved in the attack.
