Donkamokam, September 28: Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC) CEM Tuliram Ronghang, while attending the programme to welcome newly-elected West Karbi Anglong District BJP (WKADBJP) president Arun Terang, said that BJP’s win in the by-election of 20th Boithalangso LAC in the first week of November was imminent.

“Unexpected rise of several thousands of workers of BJP within the last few months here in West KA is a clear sigl the party’s win. We joined the BJP for the interest of autonomous state because Union Home Minister Rajth Singh promised to implement it,” said Ronghang.

He appealed to people, “Do not make a mistake by sending non-BJP candidate from here, because there is BJP government both at the Centre and the State and we need funds. We need development, the unemployment problem needs to be solved, poverty needs to be wiped away.”

Arun Terang in his speech said that there should be unity among all BJP workers.  “Let us work hand in hand to achieve our dream,” he said.

EM of KAAC, MS Timung said that MP Birensing Engti never raised a single question in the Parliament in his 15 years as a parliamentarian and similarly former HAD Minister Khorsing Engti too did nothing significant for the people. Timung further said, “Both Engti brothers of Karbi Anglong are involved in family politics. They always wanted to be superior here and hence many aspiring talented leaders left them.”

Former MLA Dr Mansing Rongpi also addressed the meeting. Presided over by CC president of No. 6 Bithung Rengthama, Dhoniram Hanse, the meeting was also attended by chairmen of various boards and local leaders and supporters.
