BJYM submits memorandum for issuing ST certificates

SHILLONG, Feb 19: The Bharatiya Jata Yuva Morcha (BJP Youth Wing) Meghalaya on February 17, submitted a memorandum to the Deputy Commissioner East Khasi Hills district apprising him on the sil pace process in issuing of Scheduled Tribe (ST) certificates.

“We have received a lot of complaints from almost all parts of East Khasi Hills District which is delayed and keep on pending by the concern authority to process the application of ST/PRC/Income Certificate applied through CSC/online system and even through offline application from your office, Shillong which is pending since September 2016 till date,” Egenstar Kurkalang, State President, BJYM Meghalaya said in the memorandum.

He added, “Thus it creates a lot of difficulties to the public especially for the students the same it also affect the spirit of online system and it might discourage to the public to go for digitalization.” The BJYM also urged the Deputy Commissioner to look into the seriousness of the matter which needs to be addressed at the earliest.
