Bongaigaon, Feb 6: “The Modi-led BJP government has started Hitler Raj in India. Hence they are making new plans everyday to establish capitalism in India. Everyday this government is making plans on how to break the unity of the labour class. The new order of the Railway Board that Railway staff of supervisor rank in safety category cannot hold any portfolio of any recognized union of Indian Railways is an example of this Hitler Raj. All India Railwaymen’s Federation and NF Railway Mazdoor Union strongly oppose this decision of the Railway Board. To protest against this order of the Railway Board, we observed Black Day today throughout India,” said Ashish Biswas, joint general secretary of NFRMU, on Monday in Bongaigaon while staging a one-hour dhar in New Bongaigaon.

The demonstration started at 11 am today where several noted persons of the union including SS Mochahary, secretary Bongagaon branch, Pabitra Barman, secretary New Bongaigaon Workshop Branch, Debraj Das, secretary Running Branch and Mril Seal, secretary New Bongaigaon BG branch, were present.

Protests were also held in Lumding. ligaon, Guwahati, Tinisukiya, Rangiya, Alipurduar, Katihar and Newjalpaiguri.

Talking about this order, Rakhal Das Gupta, president of AIRF, said that this was a conspiracy of the government to break the unity of the laboor class people. “But we will never let them succeed in their aim. We will stage country-wide strike if the government does not take back this order,” he said.
